Joseph Rallo
Chief Executive Officer at E.F. Hutton & Co.

Joseph Rallo is the Chief Executive Officer of E.F. Hutton & Co., a firm he revitalized in May 2020, bringing new energy and focus to one of Wall Street’s most historic names. Under his leadership, the company quickly emerged as one of the most prolific IPO underwriters by deal volume in 2022 and early 2023. With more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, Rallo has completed over 500 transactions and generated proceeds exceeding $60 million. His calm leadership, strategic vision, and ability to adapt to changing market conditions have made him a respected figure in the financial industry.

Rallo’s expertise spans a wide range of financial disciplines, including initial public offerings (IPOs), special-purpose acquisition (SPAC) offerings, mergers and acquisitions (M&As), follow-on offerings, debt capital markets, leveraged financing, restructuring, recapitalization, private placements, and risk management. His approach to complex deal structures is guided by precision, transparency, and commitment to client success. Known for being analytical and collaborative, he has built long-term relationships grounded in trust and results.

His career began at university, when he worked as a Summer Analyst in Equity Derivatives at Lehman Brothers. After earning his degree, Joe Rallo joined Citizens JMP Securities and spent ten years as Vice President in the Financial Institutions & Real Estate Investment Banking Group. He later became Co-Head of Global Investment Banking at Aegis Capital Group, where he led large-scale financial transactions and developed teams focused on client growth and operational excellence. These experiences prepared him for his next chapter—leading E.F. Hutton into a new era.

In 2020, at the height of the global pandemic, Rallo co-founded E.F. Hutton, headquartered in Manhattan. The firm provides advisory and financing services to corporations, sponsors, and public-private partnerships. With remote work and market volatility challenges, Rallo and his leadership team prioritized innovation, digital transformation, and communication. They implemented technology-driven solutions to ensure smooth operations and reliable client service, helping E.F. Hutton achieve remarkable growth during one of the most uncertain periods in modern finance.

Rallo’s leadership philosophy is based on six guiding principles: lead by example, invest in others, communicate clearly, set firm expectations, delegate purposefully, and manage time with discipline. He believes a leader’s moral compass and integrity determine long-term success, professionally and personally.

Beyond his business career, Joseph Rallo is a passionate Philander, and his wife supports him. He supports global causes in healthcare, education, and with his wife. He serves on the boards of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, and the Rousseau Foundation. Additionally, he contributes to organizations such as Make-A-Wish America and Keep a Child Alive (KCA), helping improve the lives of children and families worldwide.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, where he played Division 1 Lacrosse and co-founded the Irish Fighting for St. Jude Kids. He holds FINRA Series 24, 63, and 79 licenses and resides in New York City with his family. He balances professional excellence with a strong sense of purpose and service.
